Laser Hair Removal
Long-term hair reduction for face and body — performed by a PMDC Verified Dermatologist with 26 years of experience in DHA Phase 6, Karachi.
What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is a medical-grade procedure that uses concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles at the root, delivering long-term reduction in unwanted hair growth on the face and body. At Dr. Uzma Pirzada's Skin & Laser Clinic in DHA Phase 6, Karachi, laser hair removal is performed by Dr. Uzma personally — a PMDC Verified Dermatologist with over 26 years of experience — using settings calibrated individually for each patient's skin tone, hair type, and treatment area. Most patients require 6 to 8 sessions to achieve 80 to 90 percent permanent hair reduction, as the laser is only effective during the active growth phase of the hair cycle, and follicles must be treated across multiple cycles. Sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for facial areas and 6 to 8 weeks apart for the body. Patients with hormonal conditions such as PCOS may require additional sessions or periodic maintenance.
How it works
Skin Assessment
Dr. Uzma assesses your skin tone, hair colour, and density. Laser settings are configured individually — not using a generic protocol.
Preparation
The area is shaved 24 hours before treatment. A topical numbing cream may be applied 30–45 minutes before the session for sensitive areas.
Laser Session
The laser handpiece is passed over the treatment area, delivering calibrated pulses of light that heat and disable each follicle. Sessions take 15–60 minutes depending on the area.
Post-Care & Scheduling
Redness and mild warmth resolve within hours. The next session is scheduled at the appropriate interval to target follicles in their next growth cycle.
